A Word from the Photographer

Recently I've discovered how to express myself with the camera as many others before me, and there is no better place to do it than Jamestown, Rhode lsland. Here we have the wonderful natural canvas of the island, and the amazing beauty that abounds here.

I've lived in Jamestown with my husband and children for more than thirty years. Not a day has gone by when I haven't experienced a breathtaking scene at one location or another. We have all experienced rainbows, the sunsets, the storms bearing down on us, the natural habitat at the bird sanctuary, the salt marshes, and the local historical landmarks. All these daily experiences are gifts. Not everyone can take the time-- or even make the time-- to experience what we have around us every day.

As I look through the lens of my camera as small increments of time pass, and the clouds, sunlight and temperature change, it's all telling me a story. Within the story is emotion and atmosphere, and this is what I like to capture in my photographs.
